Since I’ve been doing “nail art” let me share you an advice from “BeautyXpert”

☁ Nail Care Tips ☁

  • Wash hands with mild soap, using a nailbrush.
  • Soak the hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften the cuticles.
  • Very gently push back the cuticles if they are long and tattered.
  • Trim the nails to the same length, cutting off any snaggy or spiky bits.
  • File the ends of the nails to smooth them off.
  • If your hands are dry, apply some hand cream.
  • Nail biting isn’t exactly seductive, try anti-biting nail paint. Tastes absolutely disgusting, but will stop you putting your fingers in your mouth so often.
  • Try to use vitamin A and calcium in your diet to avoid dryness and brittleness of nails.
  • Use proteins, vitamin C and folic acid in your dietary intake for healthy nails, as deficiency of these can cause hang nails and white bands across the nails.
  • Take vitamin B12, and zinc through multivitamins supplements to ensure a comprehensive nail care with no white spots or darkening of nails.
  • To achieve healthy nails, always try to drink plenty of fluids and water so that your metabolism may improve and in this way you can also prevent your healthy nails from the irritating cuts and cracks.
  • If your nails go flaky and whitish or yellowish and seperate slightly from the nail bed then it could be a nail fungus infection. Speak to your doctor who can prescribe an anti-fungal paint to get rid of it.
  • If the nails have become yellow with the excessive use of nail colors then on should rub the lemon peel on the nails and should leave the juice on them for a while. One should stop applying nail colors for the time being get the natural white and bright colors of the nails.
❝We all want to be look fashionable, or to be looking good, but please do remember that our body needs our care even our NAILS! Anyway, if you want some design for your nails check my nail arts *if you’re interested =)

Let’s talk about our Hair

What is a Dry and Damaged Hair?

Characteristics:

Dry hair occurs when your scalp produces a less than average amount of oils to naturally moisturize the shaft. Either you have few glands of oil, or the glands produce a low amount of oil. Dry hair tends to occur in the darker shades, and it holds a style for along time. Dry hair does not respond well to perms or coloring and will become brittle due to water loss unless great care it taken. As a symptom of poor health, dry hair and perhaps dry scalp could result from hormonal imbalance as well as form emotional problems or poor diet.

Over-exposing your hair to the sun is one of the most common causes of dry hair.

How to Take Care?:

  1. Be sure to brush regularly and to massage your scalp to promote circulation. These actions will maintain your hair’s health.
  2. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure. Over-exposing is one of the most common causes of dry hair.
  3. Washing your hair everyday is another common causes of dryness because you’re washing away oils needed for strong, healthy hair. At the most, you should be washing your hair every other day, and conditioning the ends too.
  4. Other causes of dry hair that you should avoid, include chemical treatment like perms and chemical straitening, weak elasticity, and over-using blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons.
  5. Using hot water can dry out your hair, so remember to use cool to lukewarm water when rising out of shampoo and conditioner.

Shampoo and Conditioner:

  • Use a shampoo with a rich emollient that will clean and soften your hair. Look for products that have protein and balsam.
  • If you have dandruff, use a shampoo with coal tar.
  • Use a conditioner that contains ingredients like ammonium salts to make your hair soft and manageable.
  • If the ends are extra dry, look for a conditioner with protein or balsam.

Let’s talk about our Hair

What is an Oily Hair?

Characteristics:

Lucky you! Oily hair tends to be very strong and healthy, and is easily styled. However, it loses its style quickly and becomes stringy and limp, and is prone to dandruf. When sebaceous glands are overactive hair becomes lank a day after washing.

How to Take Care?

  1. Be sure to brush regularly and to massage your scalp to promote circulation. These actions do not increase oil production and they will maintain your hair’s health.
  2. Don’t use a daily or a baby shampoo. They will probably be too gentle to provide much cleansing. Avoid conditioning shampoos because they contain oils and waxes that will only add weight to your hair.
  3. If you have dandruff, use a shampoo with sulfur.
  4. The best after-shampoo treatment is to add the juice of 1 lemon in a cup of warm water and pour it all over your hair. Rinse out with cool water. Lemon juice is as astringent that will close the pores in your hair, blocking the release of oil, and will make your hair shiny.
  5. The best styling product is mousse because it does not contain oils and will add volume.
  6. Always blow-dry away from your scalp. Letting your hair dry naturally as it rests on your scalp allows it to pick up oils.
  7. Don’t use hair spray. It’ll only collect dust and moisture from the air.

Shampoo & Conditioner:

  • Use a cleansing-only Shampoo. Ones with citric juice or malic acid will be especially effective in removing excess grease.
  • If you use a Conditioner, you don’t need one with aloe, balsam, protein, jojoba oil, or waxes. Look for ones with hydrolyzed proteins or silicones.

Skin

Normal Skin

Characteristics
  • Normal Skin is simply Ideal Skin. Normal skin type is tight but not too tight and it’s firm. It doesn’t produce excess of sebum, it’s easy to cleanse and pores are almost invisible. It’s good hydrated, delicate, smooth, and quite thin. Even if you have an oily T-zone with dry cheeks or your skin changes with the seasons, which oilier skin in the summer and dryer skin in the winter, you are considered to have normal skin.

How to Take Care

  • Wash your face: twice a day (morning/evening).
  • Skin cleansers: use gentle cleanser to not irritate your skin.
  • Skin tones: are refreshing but not needed by normal skin type, avoid toners with alcohol.
  • Skin moisturizers: helps to maintain proper hydration, excellent if contains sunblock of at least SPF 15.
  • Drink water: plenty of water.

Do’s and Don’ts

  • Don’t smoke.

Cosmetics have influence on the outer parts of the skin mainly and their active components cannot reach the deepest layers of inner skin where the most serious damage caused by smoking takes place. Clinical tests have proved that the skin of a smoker is getting older faster than that of a non-smoking person. Doctors call the type of changes that undergo inside human skin as Tobacco Face syndrome.

  • Don’t tan.

Don’t fool yourself, there’s no such thing as safe tanning. Any kind of exposure to the sun will result in damage, from wrinkles, liver spots, and even skin cancer.

  • Don’t touch or rub your face.

Touching your face with soap, as it can irritate the skin. Always use a gentle cleanser, preferably without perfumes or colorants.

  • Do wash your face twice a day.

Once in the morning and again before you go to bed.

  • Do always take off your makeup.

Take off your makeup especially before going to bed, no matter how late it is or how tired you are. Makeup will clog your pores if left on for too long, which can cause acne to develop.

  • Do awalys use a moisturizer.

Even if you don’t have particularly dry skin, moisturizer can help hydrate the skin. Without the hydration, skin can become dry and eventually promote wrinkles.
